The Moot Court Committee of Ramaiah Institute of Legal Studies (RILS), Bengaluru, invites teams to the 5th RILS Inter-University Moot Court Competition 2026, to be held offline on the RILS campus from 11 to 13 December 2026.

Eligibility: Open to bona fide students of the three-year or five-year LL.B. programme of institutions recognized by the Bar Council of India. Each institution may send one team.

Registration: Teams register through the online form by 23 October 2026, 11:59 PM IST. Entry is capped at 24 teams, allotted first-come, first-served on completed registration and fee payment. One form per team, with the bonafide/approval letter and payment screenshot attached.

Key dates

• 22 Sept: Moot proposition released, registration opens

• 23 Oct: Last date to register

• 27 Oct: Last date for clarifications (released 30 Oct)

• 21 Nov: Memorial soft copy deadline

• 11 Dec: Inaugural ceremony, draw of lots, hard copy submission

• 12 Dec: Preliminary and quarter-final rounds

• 13 Dec: Semi-final, final and valedictory ceremony

Prizes

• Winning team: ₹35,000 + trophy

• Runner-up: ₹25,000 + trophy

• Best Memorial: ₹8,000 + trophy

• Best Speaker: ₹8,000 + trophy
