9th GNLU Moot On Securities And Investment Law, 2026 At GNLU, Gandhinagar – Register By Dec 15, 2025

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar, cordially invites participation in the 9th edition of the GNLU Moot on Securities and Investment Law (GNLUMSIL 2026), scheduled to be held from February 12–15, 2026.

Established in 2015 as India's first and only moot court competition in the niche field of securities and investment law, GNLUMSIL offers a unique platform for students to engage with the evolving complexities of financial markets and securities regulation.

The previous edition, organized in collaboration with leading law firms and partners such as RegStreet Law Advisors, Manupatra, SCC Online, Economic Laws Practice, Indus Law, Saraf & Partners, Finsec Law Advisors, Lawctopus, Lakshmi Kumaran & Sridharan, and Luthra & Luthra, witnessed overwhelming participation from various law schools across India.

The 9th edition will comprise two stages:

(i) Stage 1 - Memorial Evaluation Round and

(ii) Stage 2 - Oral Pleading Rounds. Top 30 Teams from Stage 1 - Memorial Evaluation Rounds will qualify for Stage 2 - Oral Pleading Rounds.

Eligibility

Any student pursuing an undergraduate LL.B. degree programme or its equivalent conducted by any recognized Institution/College/University in India is eligible to participate. A recognized Institution/College/University shall be entitled to send only one team for the competition.

Team Composition

Each Team shall comprise of minimum 2 (two) and maximum 3 (three) members. In case of a three-member team, two members of the Team shall be designated as Orators and the third member shall be designated as the Researcher. In case of a two-member team, both members shall be designated as Orators.

Registration Procedure and Fees

Each Team must register by filling up the Registration Form available on GNLUMSIL's official website and paying a registration fee for Stage - I Memorial Evaluation Round of ₹ 2,000 on or before 15th December 2025 (11:59 P.M. IST).

Qualifying Teams must register by paying a registration fee of INR 8,000/- for Stage 2 - Oral Pleading Rounds on or before January 25, 2026.

Prizes

The Winners, Runners-up and the best submission of the 9th edition will receive cash prizes of INR 50,000, INR 25,000 and INR 10,000 respectively, in addition to other prizes. Additionally, cash prizes and other awards will be handed out to the Best Orator (Final Rounds), the Best Orator (Preliminary Rounds), and the Best Researcher.
