SG: To illustrate Mumbai module, in fact now the cases are receding. Case load wise, Delhi and Mumbai on 10th April is the same. The oxygen consumption was 10000 - this was the total. Even with 92000 active cases had the same beds and all as GNCTD.

SG: I do applaud the Mumbai model, it is not a political model. As an officer of the Court, not for Centre or State, we need to find a solution. People cannot run from pillar to post. This is not to undermine efforts of Delhi.

Justice Chandrachud: I take your point that it is on the higher side, but right or wrong, the Govt. Of India needs to tell us how you will manage. We cannot go back.

Justice Chandrachud: How do we best manage and structure the demand for Delhi. So, between today and Monday, please tell us the modalities to follow to reach that figure of 700 MT.

2021-05-05 07:58 GMT

Justice Chandrachud: 2) There is so much wealth of information coming in everyday. Bombay Municipal Corporation is doing some great work, with no respect to Delhi. What are they doing, how are they managing. I understand that Maharashtra also produces oxygen, which Delhi cant do.

2021-05-05 07:57 GMT

Justice Chandrachud: When we take it up on 10th, we will try and evaluate. I understand that as Govt. of India that you need to have a pan INDIA plan. But, we need to do this more scientifically. Justices Rao and Bhat are not here, I will speak to them.

2021-05-05 07:57 GMT

Justice Chandrachud: So that citizens and hospitals know how much oxygen is arriving and how much is available. And also your contention that Delhi‘s optimum requirement is only 590, we may reflect on that.

2021-05-05 07:56 GMT

Justice Chandrachud: This needs to be evaluated on real-time basis. There is tremendous pressure on citizens to get cylinders and oxygen. If you can showcase the time of arrival, the amount of oxygen, please put it up upfront and publicise. So that citizens know.

2021-05-05 07:56 GMT

SG: I will just ask and find out for 5th.

Justice Chandrachud: The actual capacity of the supplier should also be seen. The position of the supplier needs to be evaluated on a real time basis. If a supplier in Dehradun is allocated Delhi and Haryana, he may not be able to do so

2021-05-05 07:54 GMT

SG: On 3rd, it was 333 MT, 585 on 4th. For today, different tankers come at different places.

Rahul Mehra: There is a double counting done. 30MT had been accounted for twice yesterday.
