The Himachal Pradesh High Court has suspended all activities of the state judiciary today in response to the continuous and unpredictable rainfall.

In a notification issued by the Registrar General of the Himachal Pradesh High Court on Monday, it has been declared that July 10, 2023, should be observed as a holiday for the High Court and all Courts of District Judiciary in Himachal Pradesh.

The decision was made in light of the continuous rainfall, which has resulted in hardships for litigants, lawyers, staff, and judicial officers. Supplementary cause list for July 10 will be taken up by the respective Courts on July 11.

To compensate for this holiday, a non-working day in the future will be declared as a working day. The District and Sessions Judges are instructed to inform the general public, litigants, and Advocates through the Bar Associations in the State of Himachal Pradesh about this arrangement.
