Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh was sworn in as a Judge of the Kerala High Court today. 

Justice Singh has been transferred from the Allahabad High Court following the Supreme Court Collegium's recommendation in this regard. The Collegium had rejected his request to be transferred to nearby States such as Delhi, Punjab & Haryana, Madhya Pradesh or Rajasthan.

The Collegium in its resolution stated that it did not find any merit in the request and thus reiterated its recommendation dated July 5, 2023 to transfer him to the Kerala High Court. His transfer was subsequently notified by the Central Government. 

Justice DK Singh practised in Allahabad High Court till 1997, and thereafter in Supreme Court from 1998 till the date of his appointment as an Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court on September 22, 2017. He took Oath as a permanent Judge on September 6, 2019.
