JoyceLaw Represents CityMall In Its $22.5 Million Fundraising From General Catalyst And Others

JoyceLaw represented CityMall, a community-based e-commerce venture, in raising USD 22.5 million (about Rs 167 crore) in funding, led by General Catalyst and Jungle Ventures.

The series B round also saw participation from existing investors, Accel, Elevation Capital and WaterBridge Ventures.

Founded in 2019, by Angad Kikla and Naisheel Verdhan, CityMall is a homegrowncommunity-based e-commerce platform targeted at consumers in tier II, III andIV towns and provides income opportunities to a network of micro-entrepreneurs called community leaders.

The team at JoyceLaw, led by Deepak Joyce (Partner), Chirag Mangal (Associate) and Mohit Agarwal (counsel), advised CityMall on the transaction.

General Catalyst was represented by Goodwin Proctor, out of their Hong Kong office. Jungle Ventures was represented by IndusLaw.
