The Centre for Training and Research in Commercial Regulations (CTRCR) was established at MNLU Mumbai with the vision to encourage and promote discussion, training, and research in the fields of commercial and economic law. The Centre brings together academicians, professionals, industry experts, regulators, judges, and students to deliberate on contemporary challenges and changes in the business environment - both domestic and global. Through scholarly engagement and collaborative learning, CTRCR aims to contribute significantly to commercial law and regulatory policy discourse.
Event Details
The 3rd National Article writing competition on Capital Markets, 2026 has been designed to cultivate deep academic inquiry and practical understanding of India's Capital Markets. This event provides a platform for law students to critically analyse CapMark -related legal issues, propose innovative reforms, and gain real-world exposure through a structured workshop featuring leading experts in the field.
Workshop Details
A workshop on Capital Market will be held on 15 February, 2026 and is open to both students and legal professionals. It will offer focused discussions on recent amendments, landmark judgments, and practical aspects of the Capital markets. The sessions will be led by distinguished CapMarks professionals, practitioners, and legal scholars. Workshop participants will gain a well-rounded view of current Capital Markets practice and policy.
Eligibility
● Open to all undergraduate law students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes from recognised institutions in India.
● Legal professionals and postgraduate students are welcome to attend the workshop, but are not eligible to submit articles for the competition.
Themes for the Article Writing Competition:
● Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), Co-investment Structures, InvITs and REITs.
● Reforms in Related Party Transactions.
● ESG's implementation through BRSR.
● Resilience of Indian markets to global shocks.
● Insider Trading, Unfair Trade Practices and Investor Protection.
● Digital Platforms, Finfluencers and Regulatory Challenges.
The themes are merely suggestive and not exhaustive in nature.

● Top 3 Entries: Internship opportunity at a top-tier law firm.
● Top 5 Entries: Publication in the Journal on Corporate Law and Commercial Regulations (subject to editorial review).
