Solaris 2.0, the second edition of NMIMS Bengaluru's flagship annual event, where law meets culture in an electrifying fusion of talent and creativity is scheduled to take place from 20th to 22nd March 2025  As a prestigious platform, Solaris brings together sharp legal minds through high-stakes moots and debates while also showcasing vibrant cultural performances that celebrate artistic expression. 

Outlined below are the events scheduled to take place as part of Solaris 2025.

ONE LAW'S EVIDENCE ENIGMA - NATIONAL CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (CSI)

Step into the shoes of a forensic expert at Solaris 2.0 Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) competition, where intellect meets intrigue! Participants will analyze a simulated crime scene, examining evidence, documenting findings, and piecing together clues to crack the case. A brief video will introduce the storyline, followed by hands- on access to the crime scene, where keen observation and analytical skills will be key. Teams will then compile a detailed investigative report, presenting their deductions to a panel of judges. With a registration fee of just Rs. 800/- this event is a thrilling opportunity to sharpen forensic skills and experience the adrenaline rush of crime-solving firsthand!

MOOT X MEDIATE – 2ND Edition of Justice C.K. Thakker National Moot and Mediation Competition

Organized by the Board of ADR Committee and Moot Court Society, School of Law, NMIMS Bengaluru, this competition serves as a distinguished platform for aspiring legal professionals to refine their advocacy, negotiation, and mediation skills. Since its inception in 2019, the Board has been committed to fostering expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), equipping students with practical tools for out-of-court settlements and legal negotiations.

This year's competition centers on Environmental Law, challenging participants to tackle complex legal issues surrounding sustainability, environmental protection, and regulatory frameworks. The event unfolds in two rigorous stages:

Stage 1: Memorial Submission Round – Teams submit meticulously crafted memorials, evaluated for their research depth, legal reasoning, and written advocacy. The top 16 teams advance to the offline oral rounds.

Stage 2: Oral Rounds (Offline) – Participants engage in a dynamic blend of moot court and mediation advocacy, showcasing their skills before a distinguished panel:

  • Preliminary Rounds: All 16 teams compete in both formats, with only those excelling in both advancing.
  • Quarter-finals: The top 8 teams battle it out in both moot court and mediation.
  • Semi-finals: The top 4 teams face off in a knockout moot court round.
  • Final Round: The top 2 teams compete in the ultimate moot court showdown, bringing the competition to an exhilarating close.

This immersive experience bridges academic learning with real-world legal application, offering participants invaluable insights and professional connections within the legal community.

SCRIPTIVOX - National Article Writing Competition

The Publications Committee and Literature Society of SVKM's NMIMS (Bengaluru Campus), School of Law, presents the National Article Writing Competition—a  platform for budding legal minds, academicians, and researchers to showcase their analytical prowess, critical thinking, and innovative ideas.

This competition offers national recognition, valuable academic exposure, and an opportunity to contribute to legal scholarship. Winning articles will be featured in the School of Law's esteemed newsletter, gaining visibility among legal professionals, academicians, and students. Additionally, participants stand a chance to win cash prizes, certificates, and other exciting rewards.

Participants can explore diverse and contemporary themes, including Environmental Law, Artificial Intelligence, Intellectual Property Rights, and Criminal Law, fostering interdisciplinary research and innovative perspectives.
