In light of various measures being taken to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Patna High Court has issued a notice informing advocates that Court no. 19 of the high court will function as "virtual court" with effect from tomorrow, i.e. March 19.

With this initiative, the Advocates will be able to address the court through video conferencing.

A similar facility is also being provided by the Bombay High Court to ensure smooth functioning of judicial work.

Earlier this week, in suit with all the other High Courts in the country, the Patna High Court had restricted its functioning to hear only urgent matters. This move will further ensure the "social-distancing" policy being promoted by the Health advisors, as a measure to prevent the spread of Corona virus.
