In view of extension of the lockdown, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) has decided to remain closed until May 4.

In a notification for the same, the Joint Registrar intimated that the Commission's Registry will remain closed till May 4. Further, all cases listed between April 16 and May 4, 2020 have been adjourned to be taken up during the summer vacation, from June 1 till June 17.

However, the Commission has clarified that matters requiring extremely urgent hearing may be mentioned before the President, NCDRC at 11 am at his residential office.

Further, the court staff has been instructed to work from home and the Commission has cautioned that not attending telephone calls/mobile calls at the relevent time will be viewed seriously.
