The Bombay High Court passed an interim order on Thursday (November 5) protecting the personality rights of actress Ananya Panday, thereby directing deletion of objectionable content violating the actress's right to privacy.

The actress had moved a plea for protection of her personality rights claiming that several products and outlets have been using her photos and AI generated images and video clips, without her consent.

Justice Madhav Jamdar, while passing an ad-interim order, held that prima facie, the content violates her right to privacy, right to publicity and also her moral rights and the right to live with dignity.

The court therefore, ordered deletion of such content available on the internet.
