Chhattisgarh High Court Confers Senior Designation On Advocate General Vivek Sharma

The Chhattisgarh High Court on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, designated Advocate General Vivek Sharma as Senior Advocate with immediate effect.
The notification issued by the High Court reads:
"In exercise of powers conferred under Section 16 of the Advocates Act, 1961 and the High Court of Chattisgarh (Designation of Senior Advocates) Rules, 2025 and in pursuance of the Judgment and Order dated 13/05/2025 of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Criminal Appeal No. 865 of 2025 (Jitender @ Kalla Vs. State (Govt. of NCT of Delhi), the High Court of Chhattisgarh in its Full Court approval dated 01/09/2026 has resolved to designate Shri Vivek Sharma, Advocate General as Senior Advocate with immediate effect".
