The Karnataka High Court on Friday quashed the letter dated November 17, issued by the Electoral Officer of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), postponing elections to its Managing Committee, initially scheduled to be held on November 30.

A single judge, Justice Suraj Govindraj allowed the petitions filed by KSCA and B K Ravi, one of the members of the Committee. It said,

The Electoral officer is directed to conduct the election to Karnataka State Cricket Association as per the existing byelaws of KSCA and complete the elections as per the following calendar events, without being influenced by any interpretation sought to be given to the byelaws by any quarters.

The court has modified the calendar of events as follows.

1: Filing of nomination and nominations having already received no change made.

2: Scrutiny of nomination was required to be carried out by Nov 17, which lapsed. The same would be conducted on Nov 24 between 11 am to 4 pm

3: List of valid candidates shall be announced on Nov 24, 2025.

4: Withdrawal of candidature— Before 3 pm on November 26, 2025.

5: Announcing list of eligible candidates— By 5 pm on 26th Nov.

6: Election shall be conducted on December 7, from 11 am to 7pm, followed by declaration of results.

The court said “The above calendar of events has been finalized today in the presence of all the counsels with their consent. This court hopes and believes that the elections will be conducted in a fair/open/transparent manner without any disturbances. Justice Subhash B Adi, former Judge of the Karnataka High Court is requested to supervise the elections as per the above calendar of events."
