The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended to make two Additional Judges of the Madras High Court permanent. 

In its meeting held on February 5th, 2025, the collegium has approved the proposal for appointing the following judges as permanent judges of the Madras HIgh Court

1) Justice Venkatachari Lakshminarayanan, and

2) Justice Periyasamy Vadamalai

Justice Lakshminarayanan was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Madras High Court on February 23, 2023 while Justice Vadamalai was appointed as the Additional Judge of the Madras High Court on March 27, 2023.
