On Monday, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended to elevate Shri Vinai Kumar Dwivedi, Judicial Officer, as a Judge of the Allahabad High Court.
The Collegium recommendation reads as:
“The Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on 06th October 2025, has approved the proposal for appointment of Shri Vinai Kumar Dwivedi, Judicial Officer, as a Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad.”
10 lawyers, 14 Judicial Officers took oath as judges of the Allahabad High Court on 27th September, 2025. The High Court is functioning at a strength of 110 judges as opposed the sanctioned strength of 160.
