The Rajasthan High Court has issued notices to Jaipur Development Authority in a contempt petition for alleged willful disobedience of an order that stayed sealing of a marriage garden.
The petitioner operated a marriage garden which was sealed by JDA. Eventually, the division bench of Justice Sudesh Bansal and Justice Anil Kumar Upman through its order dated January 8, had stayed the effect and operation of the sealing order.
Post this order, representation was made by the petitioner before the JDA requesting for unsealing of the marriage garden, followed by another representation. However, allegedly no steps were taken by JDA.
Consequently, after passing of more than 20 days since the Court's order, a contempt petition was filed by the petitioner against JDA alleging willful disobedience and deliberate non-compliance of the Court's order.
In relation to this contempt petition, notices have been issued by the Court to JDA.
