    PRS Legislative Research (PRS) sought to strengthen the legislative process by making it better informed, more transparent and participatory. It tracks the functioning of the Indian Parliament and works with MPs from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha across political parties and MLAs from various states. PRS provides a comprehensive and credible resource base to access Parliament-specific data, background information on Parliamentary and governance processes and analysis of key legislative and policy issues.

    PRS offers rolling internships throughout the year. The subject matter of internship depends upon the debatable issues which come up during the session of the parliament and according to the need of PRS and upon the interests of interns.

    The interns will work in the PRS office in New Delhi. The task will be of assisting the analysts in their research work and also endeavoring an internship project.

    Duration: The duration of internships is not fixed, generally between four and eight weeks.

    After the completion of internship period the interns have to submit an internship project report and will prepare a presentation to the PRS team on their project.

    Accommodation and stipend: No accommodation or remuneration will be provided. This is strictly a non-paid internship.

    Required Skills: The interns are desired to possess following skills along with deep interest in the working of Parliament and the legislative process in India:



    1.    Strong writing skills
    2.    Strong analytic skills
    3.   Academic background in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Law or related disciplines is preferred

    b)     an up-to-date CV

    c)     a (short) writing sample (a writing sample can be any piece of writing from university projects, moots, etc. It is not necessary to write something new).
