    V.M. Salgaocar College of Law is organising the second edition of Justice G.D. Kamat Memorial National Moot Court Competition 2024 to be held from the 9th to the 11th of February 2024 at V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar, Panjim, Goa, 403001.

    The V.M. Salgaocar College of Law in collaboration with the Justice G. D. Kamat Trust in memory of Late Justice G.D Kamat organised the first edition of a National Moot Court Competition which was titled as Justice G.D Kamat Memorial National Moot Court Competition in January 2023 . The first edition served as a torchbearer, boasting active participation from 26 teams representing prestigious colleges across the country.

    The Moot Court Competition in its very first edition has established itself as one of the most promising moot court competitions of the year 2023. That year's moot problem based on the Law of Sedition was conceived to create awareness about the juxtaposition of criminal jurisprudence with the ever-emerging legal concepts that are societally entangled aiming to not only revolutionise and find applicable relevance in legal education.
    The Moot Court Competition served as a pivot where we had the best practising lawyers in the state of Goa as Judges for the Preliminaries , Quarter Finals and Semi Final Rounds .
    LANGUAGE: The official language of the competition being English, all participants are strictly required to present both their oral and written submissions in English.

    ELIGIBILITY: The students pursuing LL.B. (5 years integrated course [B.A. LL. B,BB.A. LL. B, B. Com LL.B, B.Sc. LL. B]) or LL. B (3 years) Degree Course from any recognized Law College/ University subject to fulfillment of the registration formalities are eligible for participation subject to fulfilment of registration formalities . It is to be noted that only one team per college / university / institution shall be allowed to participate .

    TEAM COMPOSITION: Each team shall consist of 3 members (two speakers and one researcher) . Each team will be assigned a team code by the organizing committee.
