CLAT 2021 Results: 10 IDIA Trainees to be Admitted in Top Law Colleges

The results of CLAT- 2021 has become a moment to revel in the outstanding performance of its students for IDIA (Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access). As per the press release issued by IDIA Charitable Trust, it is well prepared to welcome the 2021 Batch of IDIA Scholars, a bunch of meritorious students who have cracked one of the most difficult competitive exams in the country, despite their under privileged backgrounds. The press release listed out the many challenges posed by the unique Covid-19 situation and the ensuing digital divide. The devoted team members of IDIA and its training partners have ensured a resourceful educational opportunity in the most coveted national law schools of India for each of its 10 scholars in the first list, with more scholars to join by the publication of subsequent lists. By virtue of the dedicated online mocks and preparatory sessions offered by IDIA, one of the IDIA scholars, Swabhiman Jayant Patil, has secured an AIR 42 by scoring 106.75 marks out of 150. Swabhiman, who hails from a small village in the Solapur District of Maharashtra, came in contact with IDIA through an awareness session conducted by IDIA volunteers in his college. Another student, Mayank Kumar, has secured a remarkable rank of AIR 97. His family in Bihar has been detrimentally affected by the onset of the pandemic. Despite all odds stacked against him, Mayank has made sure that he will acquire legal expertise from one of the top law schools in order to give back to the community that stood by him. IDIA is a nationwide movement that functions to select and train community leaders from marginalized and underprivileged sections of the society. IDIA provides a wide range of financial assistance and training to its scholars across the country. IDIA has been extremely successful in carrying out sensitisation programs that puts forward law as a viable career option. Over the past 10 years, IDIA has trained 550 students, out of which 129 students have received/have been receiving tuition free education from top law schools as IDIA scholars.
