    Supreme Court Collegium has recommended names of 3 judges for elevation as Chief Justices of the respective High Courts as follows:

    Justice Sanjay Mishra, judge of the Uttarakhand High Court as CJ of Jharkhand High Court,

    Justice N Kotiswar Singh, judge of the Gauhati High Court, as CJ of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court,

    Justice K Vinod Chandran, judge of the Kerala High Court,  as CJ of Gauhati High Court.

    Justice Kotiswar Singh is presently serving as a Judge at the Gauhati High Court. He was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Gauhati High Court in 2008. He served as the Advocate General of the State of Manipur from November 2007 till his elevation to the Bench in October 2011. He was appointed as a Judge of the Gauhati High Court in November 2012. He served as the Acting Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court w.e.f. 21.09.2020 t0 09.01.2021 and from 09.05.2022 t0 22.06.2022.

    Justice Chandran obtained his Law Degree from Kerala Law Academy Law College and started practice in the year 1991. He served as Special Government Pleader (Taxes) of the Government of Kerala from 2007 to 2011. He was sworn-in as Additional Judge of Kerala High Court in November 2011 and was appointed as a Permanent Judge in June 2013.
