    The Sports Committee, NLSIU in association with the Sports Law and Policy Centre, Bangalore is organising the 3rd Spiritus Sports Law and Policy Essay Competition.

    Deadline

    Last Date for Submissions: 23rd August, 2016 (11.59 pm).

    Prizes

    Authors of the winning entries will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to intern at the Sports Law and Policy Centre.

    1st – Rs. 7500

    2nd – Rs. 5000

    3rd – Rs. 2500

    Submission Guidelines

    Word limit: 3500-4500 words (inclusive of footnotes)

    Citation Style: OSCOLA (4th edn., 2012)

    Maximum 2 co-authors are permitted.

    Topics



    1. Rule 40 of the Olympic Charter – Is it a necessity to preserve the unique nature of the Olympics or an unduly restrictive and unfair restraint?

    2. Should certain sporting disciplines do away with separate events for men and women?

    3. The Lodha Committee Recommendations: Timely intervention or a case of unnecessary judicial activism?
