1st VIPS Debate Competition, 2017

Vivekananda Law School (VLS), Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) is immensely pleased to invite you to its 1st VIPS Debate Competition, 2017.

Debate Competition, 2017 would be a pivotal platform to encourage law students to nurture and hone their legal research, analytical and debating skills.

Topic for the Debate:

• For Preliminary Round: Compulsion to cast vote will improve political system in India: Favor or Against


• For Final Round: Commitment towards Right to Environment is an impediment to Right to Development in India: Favor or Against

Date of Competition: 26th August, 2017. (Saturday)

Venue: Vivekananda Law School (VLS), Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), Delhi-110034

No. of Individual Entries: 2 per Institution.

Registration Fee:

• 500/-, by way of DD/ Cheque in favor of ‘Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies’.


• Confirm your participation through scanned copy of filled up registration form and Cheque/DD over email to [email protected].

Eligibility:

Competition shall be open to all bonafide students pursuing LL.B. (3-year or 5-year law course) from an institution in Delhi-NCR.

 Awards:

• 1st Best Speaker Trophy Cash Prize: Rs 3,000/-, Certificate of Merit


• 2nd Best Speaker Trophy Cash Prize: Rs 1,500/-, Certificate of Merit


• Best Interjector: Certificate of Merit
