Centre for Law & Policy Research’s Conference & Essay Competition on Transgender Rights and Law

Topic

CLPR invites students to submit an essay on the topic: “Taking Transgender Rights Seriously: Making Authentic Lives Possible”.

Eligibility

This is open to any student enrolled in a full time educational programme.

Submission Guidelines

One can send submissions in ‘.pdf’ or ‘.doc’ formats to [email protected]

The essay may adopt any consistent citation style. The word limit for the essay is 3000 words inclusive of footnotes or end notes.

Submission Deadline:

11:59 pm, 11^th December, 2016

Prize Money

• 1^st position: Rs. 7,500


• 2^nd position: Rs. 5,000


• 3^rd position: Rs. 2,500

Winners

The winning essays will be announced and disseminated at the Conference on 14-15 December 2016 in Bangalore. The winners will also be informed by email.
