The report was conducted following a previous NGT order in December, 2018 in the wake of a complaint alleging that inhabitants of the area were suffering from diseases due to fly ash accumulation.
Following the findings of the report, the NGT sought reports from NTPC Aravali Power and Jhajjar Power about their current status of fly ash disposal and management and an action plan with a timeline.
A report was also sought from Chief Medical Officer in Jhajjar District about the health impact study of fly ash in the concerned area.
The NGT further directed HSPCB to submit a report on the status of air quality and stack monitoring with regards to the two power plants.
