Strictly Implement 'Plastic Ban Notification' : NGT Karnataka State Level Committee [Read Circular]

National Green Tribunal, Karnataka State Level Committee Chairperson, Justice Subhash B Adi, on August 27, issued a circular directing all authorities in State of Karnataka, to strictly implement the 'plastic ban notification in their jurisdiction.

Plastic ban across the state is to be enforced from September 1. The circular also asks the authorities to publish in newspapers that August 31, would be deadline after which the manufacturers/distributors/retailers/users of plastic be-strictly penalised as per the provisions.

Justice Adi has been appointed to oversee the implementation of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016
