CLPR Organising 4th International Conference On Transgender Rights & the Law [5th & 6th December 2020, Bangalore]

CLPR is organizing the 4th International Conference on Transgender Rights and the Law on 5th & 6th December 2020 (from 09.00 AM onwards) at Bangalore International Center (New Building). CLPR is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to making the Constitution work for everyone through law and policy research, social and governance interventions, and strategic impact litigation. Since 2015, CLPR has been engaged in path-breaking litigation and law and policy research that shapes the field of transgender rights in India. TransForm is the first international conference in India on transgender rights and the law which brings together activists, academics, lawyers, students, and members of the transgender community to debate and discuss cutting-edge legal issues around trans equality. Some of the Eminent Speakers are: Antonia Belcher (Founder of The Antonia & Andrea Belcher Trans Fund, UK), Grace Banu (Founder of Trans Rights New Collective), Disha Pinki Shaikh (Spokesperson of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi), Dr Mrinal Satish (Professor, NLSIU), Dr Akkai Padmashali (transgender activist and member of the Indian National Congress), Vyjayanti Vasanta Mogli (transgender rights activist), Sai Bourothu (Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative), among others.
