    As part of efforts to expand judicial infrastructure and improve access to justice, the District and Additional Sessions Court and Family Court (Camp Court–Additional Sitting) at Bhilai-3 in Durg district was virtually inaugurated on Monday.

    The inauguration was conducted by Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice of the High Court of Chhattisgarh, in the presence of Justice Naresh Kumar Chandrawanshi, Portfolio Judge for District Durg.

    According to the High Court, the establishment of the District and Additional Sessions Court and the Family Court Camp Court–Additional Sitting at Bhilai-3 is intended to provide litigants in the region with a closer and more accessible forum for judicial proceedings.

    Addressing the gathering, Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha spoke about the significance of expanding judicial services and the need to strengthen accessibility and reach within the justice delivery system. He observed that the commencement of the new courts would contribute to making judicial services more readily available to residents of the Bhilai-3 region. The Chief Justice also noted the potential impact of the Family Court Camp Court–Additional Sitting in facilitating access to judicial remedies in family dispute matters at the local level.

    The programme began with a welcome address by Shri K. Vinod Kujur, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Durg.

    Speaking on the occasion,District and Sessions Judge said:

    "Bhilai-Three is an important and rapidly developing region with a growing population and diverse legal requirements. The vision and guiding thought behind the establishment of the dedicated Courts have been greatly inspired by the visionary leadership and guidance of the Hon'ble Chief Justice. The establishment of the Courts at Bhilai-Three is, therefore, a reflection of His Lordship's vision of a more accessible, responsive, and citizen-centric justice delivery system."

    Following the virtual inauguration, a short video presentation showcasing the District and Additional Sessions Court and Family Court (Camp Court–Additional Sitting) at Bhilai-3 was screened. The presentation provided an overview of the proposed judicial facilities and their intended functioning.

    The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Smt. Suman Ekka, Principal Judge, Family Court, Durg, who acknowledged the contributions of the Chief Justice, judicial officers, administrative officers and others associated with the event.

    The new judicial facilities at Bhilai-3 are expected to strengthen judicial infrastructure in the region and provide greater accessibility to court services for local residents.
