  • GLC-Mumbai’s Debating & Literary Society To Host The Policy Debate-2018 On Saturday

    The Debating and Literary Society of Government Law College, Mumbai, will host the 5th edition of its annual flagship event, The Policy Debate, 2018, on Saturday.

    The Policy Debate is a panel discussion which sees eminent speakers from across the country speak on the issues that affect all of us as a society.

    The theme for this year is: “Crack in the Pillars: Will the Indian Democracy Sustain?”

    This year, the panel consists of distinguished personalities from across the country and diverse professions which consist of the following;



    • Shyam Divan, Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court of India.

    • Kanchan Gupta, Veteran Journalist and former editor, The Telegraph.

    • Milind Khandekar, Journalist and Ex. MD, ABP News

    • Meghnad Saha, Public policy Expert and Columnist

    • Abhijit Iyer-Mitra, Senior Fellow at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies.

    • Ms Shubhrastha, Columnist and Author.


    The panel discussion will be moderated by Mr. Kishu Daswani, who is a professor at Government Law College, Mumbai.

    The Chief Guest for the event is Justice Sujata Manohar, retired Supreme Court judge.

    The Guest of Honour will be Advocate Ramakant Gaur, Founding Partner, Ace Jurix.

    The event will be held at Sir Cowasjee Jehangir Convocation Hall, Mumbai University, Fort Campus starting at 4 PM on October 6. The event shall end at 8 PM, which will be followed by dinner.

    Certificate of participation will be provided which shall indicate that one has attended the panel discussion.
