  • GNLU’s Competition On Start-Up Ventures In The Domain Of Law

    GNLU Centre for Business and Public Policy (GCBPP) is organizing COMPETITION ON START-UP VENTURES IN THE DOMAIN OF LAW On 18th February, 2017.

    The Objective: To transform a vision into a venture. The Competition: Among Students and GNLU Alumni.

    The Process: Through presentation of a Business Plan.

    The Jury: A galaxy of Academics, Professionals &Venture Capitalists.

    The Rewards: Cash Prizes, Mentions and Mentoring.

    Contents of the Plan: The plan must contain the following:

    General Background:

    Composition of the Team (Name, Name of Institution, Course  enrolled or completed, Educational Qualification, Work experience)  Is there support or mentorship from any adviser? Please specify.



    • Business Proposition The business IDEA· The product/service·  Uniqueness of the product/service·  The WOW about the product!·


    Marketing Strategy

    The market segmentation or target market



    • The positioning strategy

    • Estimated size and value of the target market

    • The competitive landscape

    • Differentiation Strategy


    Execution Plan



    • Implementation Roadmap (Flowchart of Activities)

    • The financial requirements

    • Snapshot of Projected Financial Statements for 5 years (Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement)

    • Milestones to Achieve


    SWOC Analysis



    • Opportunities and Strengths

    • Risks and Challenges

    • Risk mitigation strategy


    Awards & Prizes:

    There are cash prizes worth Rs.50, 000 to be won.

    1st Prize: Rs.25, 000

    2nd Prize: Rs.15, 000

    3rd Prize: Rs.10, 000

    Along with these prizes, the winners will be awarded with winning certificates. Certificates of participation will be awarded to top ten selected teams. The selected teams will be mentored by experts in the field of venture promotion to see the promotion of their planned ventures.

    Timelines: 

    Submission of the Abstract of Plan (Max. 500 words): 30th November, 2016

    Submission of Plan: 21st December, 2016

    Announcement of Top Ten Plans: 15th January 2017

     Oral Presentation at GNLU: 18th February 2017
