Appearing for Pradhan, his counsel submitted that the petitioner was already in custody even though the election is scheduled to be held on October 6. The counsel further pointed out that the last date for campaigning is October 4 and sought protection from the Court.
“My date of election is 6th October, I am already in custody. The last date of campaign is 4th October. I am seeking protection,” counsel submitted.
Taking note of the submission, the Court said, “Very well, tomorrow,” indicating that the matter would be taken up on Tuesday.
