The Delhi High Court restricted the entry of intern law students to the court premises to only third year students of 3-year-LLB course and fourth as well as fifth year students of the 5-year integrated LLB course.

A circular issued by the High Court states:

"As directed by Hon'ble the Chief Justice, it is hereby circulated for information of all concerned that, henceforth, the entry passes/ID Cards for law students doing internship with Advocates shall be issued by this Court only to the following categories of law students:
• Third-year students of the 3-Y ear LL.B. course; and
• Fourth-year and Fifth-year students of the 5-Year Integrated Law Course"

Interns seeking entry passes/IDs need to submit the following documents:

1. Recommendation letter from the concerned advocate along with his Bar Council's enrollment number.

2. Photocopy of Bar ID of the Advocate.

3. Photocopy of Aadhar Card of the intern.

4. Photocopy of College ID card of the intern.

5. Stamp size photographs of the intern (2 copies).

The court has also clarified that the entry passes/ID Cards are issued without any charge/fee.
