Results For Govt School Teacher Recruitment To Be Out Between July-September: Staff Selection Panel Submits Revised Timeline To Jharkhand HC

The Jharkhand High Court took on record a fresh affidavit filed by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) setting out revised timelines for completing recruitment of 26,000 teachers in government schools for Classes 1-8 in two categories which is proposed to be completed between July to September this year. The Division Bench comprising Chief Justice M. S. Ramachandra Rao and Justice Rajesh Shankar recorded in its order, “A supplementary affidavit has been filed today by the Joint Secretary, Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, Ranchi is taken on record. In that affidavit, revised timelines have been indicated for completion of selection to the post of Graduate Trained Teacher and Intermediate Trained Teacher in various subjects. All efforts shall be made by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission to ensure that these timelines are adhered to.”Listing the matter on June 30 the court asked JSSC to file a status report on compliance of revised timeline. According to the revised affidavit filed by the JSSC, the recruitment process is divided between Graduate Trained Teachers (for Classes 6 to 8) and Intermediate Trained Teachers (for Classes 1 to 5). For Graduate Trained Teachers (Classes 6 to 8), covering 15,001 posts, the schedule is as follows:For Maths and Science Teachers, final answer keys for all papers are scheduled to be published by the third week of April 2025. The combined merit list is to be prepared by the second week of May 2025. Document verification for shortlisted candidates is to be conducted between the fourth week of May and the second week of June 2025. The final results for Maths and Science teacher posts are to be published in the first week of July 2025.For Social Science Teachers, final answer keys are also expected by the third week of April 2025. The merit list is planned by the third week of May 2025, followed by document verification through June. The results for Social Science teacher posts are expected by the third week of July 2025.For Language Teachers, a re-examination for Paper 4 (Urdu) is scheduled in the fourth week of May 2025. Finalisation of the answer keys for other languages will be completed by the first week of June 2025. Document verification will occur through June and July, with the publication of final results for Language Teachers scheduled for the first week of August 2025.For Intermediate Trained Teachers (Classes 1 to 5), involving 11,000 posts:The publication of final answer keys for most papers is scheduled by the third week of April 2025.However, for certain language papers (Kurmali, Panchpargania, and Ho), a re-examination of Paper 2 is to be conducted in the fourth week of May 2025.Finalisation of answer keys and preparation of the merit list is planned for the first week of June 2025.The verification of documents for approximately 13,000 shortlisted candidates will be carried out between the fourth week of July and August 2025.The final results for Intermediate Trained Teachers are scheduled to be published in the second week of September 2025.The fresh timeline comes after the Court on April 16 had expressed dissatisfaction with the original recruitment schedule filed by JSSC on April 11, 2025, which had extended the process till January 2026.
