The Karnataka High Court has dismissed a plea making allegations of corruption against Chief Minister Siddaramiah, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar and seeking registration of criminal proceedings observing that the petitioner had added every person holding office and if the plea is permitted it would be abuse of law.

The court was hearing a petition moved by National president of Bhrastachar Virodha Party and a former employee of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited, against Chief Minister Siddaramiah, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar and various MLAs making allegations of corruption against them.

The petition alleged that the CM, Deputy CM, MLAs, the Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Minister "has been insult Indian constitution, misused ECI, involved corruptions".

Justice M Nagaprasanna in his order noted that the petitioner had registered a complaint before the trial court and had added 51 accused in the matter.

The court noted that the petitioner was an employee of the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited who was dismissed from service and the dismissal has been challenged before the High Court.

The court noted that the petitioner had sought to "arraign every person holding the office of the Minister, Inspector General of Police and every other officers of the Department for registration of crime".

"If this is permitted, it would on the face of it become an abuse of the process of law. Since the petitioner is a dismissed employee, this Court is holding its hands in imposing exemplary costs, failing which, it was a fit case to impose costs of Rs.10,00,000/- upon him. With the aforesaid observations, the petition stands dismissed," the court said.

    The plea was dismissed.
