Seven Additional Judges Sworn-In As Permanent Judges Of Kerala High Court

Chief Justice of Kerala High Court, Justice Soumen Sen has administered the oath of office to seven newly-appointed permanent judges of the High Court

• Harisankar Vijayan Menon,
  
• Manu Sreedharan Nair,
  
• Easwaran Subramani,
  
• Manoj Pulamby Madhavan and
  
• Marakkaparambil Bhargavan Snehalatha

On Monday (March 2), the Central government had notified the appointment of Justices M.A. Abdul Hakhim, Syam Kumar V.M., Harisankar V. Menon, Easwaran S., Manu S., Manoj P.M. and M.B. Snehalatha as permanent Judges of the Kerala High Court.

Justice M.A. Abdul Hakhim enrolled as advocate in March 1992. He had been appearing before the Supreme Court, Kerala High Court, the subordinate courts and Tribunals in Kerala. He was sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Kerala on 22.03.2024.

Justice Syam Kumar V.M. enrolled as an advocate on 07.01.1996. His areas of practice included Admiralty and Shipping law, Commercial law and Constitutional Law. He was sworn in as the additional judge of the High Court of Kerala on 22.03.2024.

Justice Harisankar V. Menon enrolled as an Advocate on 31.12.1997. His practice was mainly on matters relating to Taxation (Direct and Indirect). He had sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Kerala on 22.03.2024.

Justice Manu S. commenced his practice in the High Court of Kerala in December, 1998. He was engaged as Senior Central Government Standing Counsel for Lakshadweep Administration by the Ministry of Law and Justice from 2018 to 2021. Later, he was appointed as the Assistant Solicitor General of India for the Kerala High Court in 2021. He was then re-designated as Deputy Solicitor General of India in 2022. He swore in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Kerala on 22.3.2024.

Justice Easwaran S. got enrolled as an advocate on 5.4.1999. His practice was mainly on Banking Law, Insurance Law, Service matters relating to Public Institutions and cases involving Civil nature and Company Cases, Insolvency and Bankruptcy cases. He was wworn-in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Kerala on March 22, 2024.

Justice Manoj P.M. practiced as Government Pleader during the periods from 2010 to 2011 and from 2016 to 2021. He was sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Kerala on 22.03.2024.

Justice M.B. Snehalatha enrolled as an Advocate in December 1987 and practiced at courts at Kochi. She joined Kerala Judicial Services as Munsiff- Magistrate in the year 1995 and got promoted as District Judge in 2014. She was sworn in as Additional Judge, High Court of Kerala on 25.04.2024.
