Telangana High Court Set To Launch Pilot E-Filing Portal 3.0

The Telangana High Court has announced the launch of the e-Filing 3.0 portal for the filing of cases and petitions by Government Pleaders, Standing Counsel, and Income Tax cases by Advocates, Standing Counsel, and parties-in-person. This initiative comes in response to the directions of the Chief Justice and a letter from the Registrar dated 29th September 2023.

The E filing pilot portal is scheduled to go live on 3rd October 2023, and will stay active till 31st December 2023. During this period, e-filing is mandatory for Government Pleaders, Standing Counsel, and parties-in-person for Income Tax cases.

Scanning of these cases will be done free of cost in the newly established eSewa Kendra of the High Court. Parties-in-person related to Income Tax matters must seek permission from the concerned Party-in-Person Committee.

To facilitate the smooth implementation of the e-Filing 3.0 portal, several circular instructions have been issued. Advocates newly registered with the High Court and those filing cases are requested to update or submit their Telangana Bar Council Enrollment Number, gender, date of birth, mobile number, and email address in the High Court's Case Information System (CIS) software.

All Advocates associated with the Telangana High Court are required to use their Bar Council Enrollment Number along with the Advocate Computer Code issued by the High Court when filing cases.

Those using e-filing are required to provide an undertaking that they will submit physical case records if directed by the Court or as per e-Filing rules.

Government Pleaders and Standing Counsel are instructed to inform the High Court Registry of any changes in their positions so that their names can be mapped with the period of their incumbency using the Advocate Computer Code. Advocates and parties-in-person handling Income Tax cases can reach out to the Nodal Officer, the Deputy Registrar of the New Filing Section, for any assistance or inquiries related to filing procedures.
