    Bombay High Court

    The Bombay High Court refused to quash criminal proceedings against a man who married a lady who had accused him of raping her.

    Gujarat High Court

    The Gujarat High Court granted Bail to Hardik Patel on the main condition that he shall file a fresh notarized undertaking before the Trial Court within a period of two days from the date of his release on the same line as filed before High Court and shall also declare that he is ready and willing to remain outside the territorial limits of State of Gujarat for a period of six months from the date of his release.

    Kerala High Court

    The Division Bench of High Court of Kerala admitted a writ petition seeking to declare the exercise of contempt of court jurisdiction as unconstitutional. 

    Madras High Court

    The Madras High Court asked the Bureau of Immigration to consider the application to register a minor child as “Overseas Citizen of India” and issue certificate without insisting upon custody order of guardianship in the hands of his mother from court of law, who had obtained divorce from his father.

    In a landmark Judgment a Division Bench of the High Court dismissed all the Petitions against the Author Perumal Murugan and his book Madhorubagan.

    Punjab & Haryana High Court

    The Punjab and Haryana High Court in Mata Sundri Educational Welfare Society vs. Union of India held that complete restriction cannot be imposed in respect of admission to academic courses on the basis of domicile of the State.
