    Centre for Advanced Studies in Human Rights (CASIHR), RGNUL Punjab in collaboration with Institute of Correctional Administration, Chandigarh is organizing the International conference on “Victim Compensation and Restorative Justice & National Bill Drafting Competition on Victim Compensation- 2015”.

    NATIONAL BILL DRAFTING COMPETITION

    A National Bill Drafting Competition shall be organized wherein participants will be required to Draft a Bill on Victim Compensation.The Best three bills will be presented before the Panel and the winners shall be given cash prizes.

    Submission Guidelines



    1. All the draft Bills must contain the particulars of the author indicating his email id, contact number and address for correspondence.
    2. Co-Authorship upto a maximum of two authors is allowed.
    3. The Bills should be sent to: casihr@rgnul.ac.in .


    Formatting Guidelines



    1. The maximum limit of a Bill is 4000-5000 words (excluding footnotes).
    2. The format is Times New Roman/Garamond, Font Size 12, 1.5 line spacing, on an A4 sheet with 1” margin on all sides, to be sent in .doc/.docx/.pdf format.
    3. A uniform style of citation must be strictly adhered to while submitting the Bill.


    Rewards: The Winners of the Bill Drafting Competition shall be given a Certificate and Cash Prizes.



    • Best Bill: Rs 5000/-
    • 2nd Best Bill: Rs 3000/-
    • 3rd Best Bill: Rs 2000/-


    CALL FOR PAPERS

    Eligibility: Conference papers are invited from the academicians, practitioners, researchers, scholars and students on the issues related to the themes.

    • Compensating and Rehabilitating Rape Victims
    • Legislative Framework, Role of Judiciary and NGO’s
    • Plea Bargaining
    • Restorative Justice and Weaker Sections
    • Rights of Victims vis-à-vis offenders
    • Punishments and Restorative Justice
    • Constitutional Approach to Rehabilitation and Restoration
    • International Perspective to Victim Compensation


    Submission Guidelines



    1. The abstract should contain not more than300–350 words along with the particulars of the author indicating his email id, contact number and address for correspondence.
    2. A paper cannot have more than two co-authors.
    3. The abstracts and papers should be sent to: casihr@rgnul.ac.in

    Registration Fees



    • The Registration fee for the Seminar is Rs. 1000/-,(separately for author and co-author) for students. Registration fee of Rs 1500 is for Academicians/Lawyers/Research Scholars.
    • The Registration Fee for the Bill Drafting Competition is Rs 500/- for Participants. Registration and payment is to be done Online on or before 10th October 2015.
