Essential Qualification and Experience

Joint Director (Legal)

• Officers from the All-India Services or Central Civil Services Group 'A' or Indian Legal Service or Indian Company Law Service or autonomous body or statutory organization or regulatory authorities or recognized Universities or academic or recognized research institutes or Judicial institutions; a. (i) holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) with a minimum of five years of regular service in the grade rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in level-11(Rs.67700-208700) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and b (i) possessing a Bachelor's degree in law from a recognized University; and (ii) having experience in the relevant field of Law including in Consumer Law.

Legal Assistant

• Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union territory Administration or autonomous body or statutory organization or public sector undertakings, a (i) holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) with a minimum of six years of regular service, in the grade rendered after appointment to the post on regular basis in level 5 (Rs. 29200-92300) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department;

• Bachelor's degree in law from a recognized university; with three years' experience in the relevant field (Law), including in Consumer Law.
