National Human Rights Commission invites applications for the post of Joint Director (Research), Research Officer, and Research Assistant.

Essential Qualification and Experience

Joint Director (Research)

• Officers under the Central Government, the State Government, Union territories, autonomous or statutory organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, Universities or recognized Research Institutions: (a) Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; and

• Master of Law's from any recognized University; (ii) Master’s in Political Science or Sociology or Social Work or Economics or Human Rights or Psychology or Population Studies or Criminology from a recognized University; (iii) Five years research experience in any of the above subjects in a recognized Institution or University.

Research Officer

• Officers of the Central Government, the State Government, Union territories, autonomous or statutory organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, Universities or recognized Research Institutions; (a) Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department;

• Master’s Degree in Social Science from a recognized University.

Desirable:

• Degree in Law from a recognized university;

• Three years of research experience in any of the social science.

Research Assistant

• Officers of the Central Government, the State Government, Union territories, autonomous or statutory organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, Universities or recognized Research Institutions:

• Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; Or With six years’ service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in level-5 (Rs.29200-92300) in the pay matrix or equivalent or with ten years’ service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in level-4 (Rs.25500-81 100) in the pay matrix in the parent cadre or department; and

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.

Desirable:

• Minimum one-year research experience in any recognized University or recognized Research Institution.

• Degree in Law or Human Rights from a recognized university.
