Essential Qualification and Experience

• Possess a Degree in Law (Special) or Degree in Law (Integrated) (five years course after Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination) of any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be a deemed university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; 2. The basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. 3. Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Both languages are essential.
• Have at least three years combined or separate experience of legal matters in the Government/ Government undertaking/Board / Corporation/Local Bodies/Limited Company established under the Companies Act,2013. Explanation: “Legal matters means all work relating to drafting of legal notice, affidavit, parawise remarks etc filing of suits, appeals, providing opinion, briefing to the concerned Law Officer or Advocate of the concerned court in pending cases before various courts” 2) Have at least three years combined or separate experience as a practicing advocate or Attorney or Government Pleader in the Subordinate Court or High Court Provided that such period of practice in concerned Court as an advocate shall be certified by the Registrar General of the High Court in case of candidate practicing in the High Court or by the Principal Judicial Officer in case of candidate practicing in Subordinate Court or by the Principal District Judge of the concerned District Court.
