    Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) invites application for the post of Legal Assistant purely on deputation basis at BPR&D Headquarters, and its six outlying units located at Bhopal, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Ghaziabad.

    Essential Qualification and Experience

    • Deputation (including short term contract): Officers under the Central Government/State Government/Union Territories including Central Police Organisation/State Police Organisation. (a) (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or (ii) with Six years‟ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the Level - 5, Grade Pay Rs. 2800/- or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; and

    • Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognised university.

    • Two years' experience in legal work. (Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some of other organization or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed four years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications).

    • For Armed Forces Personnel (Deputation / Re-employment): The Armed Forces Personnel the rank of Junior Commissioned Officer or equivalent who are due to retire or to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and possessing the educational qualifications and experience prescribed for deputationists shall also be considered. If selected, such officers will be given deputation terms upto the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces. Thereafter they may be continued on re-employment terms. In cases such eligible officers have been retired or have been transferred to reserve before the actual selection to the post is made, their appointment will be on reemployment basis. (Reemployment upto the age of superannuation with reference to civil posts).

    • Applications received after the last date or without through proper channel or otherwise found incomplete will not be considered. While forwarding the application, it may also be verified and certified that the particulars furnished by the officers are correct and no disciplinary case is either pending or contemplated against them. The integrity of the officer may also be certified.
