    The Centre for Science, Technology & Society of TISS, Mumbai invites applications for the post of Program Coordinator, Policy Advocacy Officer, and Research/Field Coordinator on a contractual basis.

    Name of the Post: Program Coordinator, Policy Advocacy Officer and Research/Field Coordinator

    Essential Qualification and Experience

    Program Coordinator

    • Applicants must have a degree in social sciences or law with adequate knowledge on forest laws, policy, and institutions, and a minimum of one year of rural field experience.

    • Ability to analyse and document policy, case laws and field insights Conduct fieldwork in rural areas independently.

    • Ability to coordinate with government and civil society groups in Maharashtra, and organise training and capacity-building programs independently.

    • Basic skills in Excel, SPSS, GPS and GIS.

    • Must be speaking and writing in Marathi

    Policy Advocacy Officer

    • Applicants must have a degree in social sciences or law with adequate knowledge on forest and wildlife laws, policy, and institutions, and a minimum of one year of rural field experience.

    • Ability to analyse and document policy, and case laws, and write case studies from field insights Conduct fieldwork in rural areas independently.

    • Ability to coordinate with government and civil society groups across India, and organise training and capacity-building programs independently.

    • Basic skills in Excel, SPSS, GPS and GIS.

    • Must be well-versed in English, Hindi and any one regional language.

    Research/Field Coordinators

    • Applicants must have a degree in social sciences or law with adequate knowledge on forest laws, policy, and institutions, and a minimum of one year of rural field experience.

    • Ability to coordinate with government and civil society groups at the district and local levels in Maharashtra, and organise training and capacity-building programs on forest rights and policies for government officers and Gram Sabha members independently.

    • Conduct fieldwork in rural areas independently and ability to mentor village coordinators.

    • Good in analysis, documentation on policy, case laws, write case studies from field insights.

    • Basic skills in Excel, SPSS, GPS and GIS.

    • Must be speaking and writing Marathi.
