    Department of Social Work, University of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh invites application for the post of Training and Capacity Building Officer, Programme Support Coordinator, and Training Coordinator under the project entitled "Strengthening child protection system in the state of Uttar Pradesh" funded by the UNICEF.

    Essential Qualification and Experience

    Training and Capacity Building Officer

    • Post-graduate degree in relevant fields (such as Social Work/ Family and Child Welfare / Human Development Development Studies/ Rural Development Rural Management /Public Health/ Law/ Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration /Social Sciences).

    • At least seven years relevant demonstrated experiences in planning, designing, management, implementation, monitoring, and supervision of child protection programme including CP system strengthening, improving institutional care, alternative care. case management, gatekeeping, community awareness. ending violence against children and women, training, and capacity building of related functionaries. Good understanding of child protection-related national laws and international instruments, guidelines and standards, legislations, and flagship programmes/schemes including Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, POCSO Act, the prohibition of child marriage Act, Child Protection Services. One-Stop Centre, Mahila Shakti Kendra, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, family strengthening programme, and other related social protection schemes. Considerable experience and expertise in developing a training module for the training ollCP functionaries including police and have facilitation skills of state-level consultation, workshop, and training.

    • Previous working experience with government department/home/police will have added advantage.

    Training Coordinator

    • Post-graduate degree in relevant fields (such as Social Work/Family and Child Welfare/ Human Development Development Studies/ Rural Development/ Rural Management Public Health / Law /Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration/ Social Sciences).

    • At least five years of relevant demonstrated experiences in training need assessment, training design. training module development. facilitating sessions, liaison. coordination and networking with the technical agency. preparation of training report.

    • Good understanding on child protection structures, institutional care, family-based alternative care, case management system, best interest assessment / best interest determination of children, gatekeeping, violence against children. CP stakeholders and functionaries.

    • Understanding on child protection-related national laws and international instruments. guidelines and standards, legislations, and flagship programmes/schemes including Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, POCSO Act, the prohibition of child marriage Act. Child Protection Services, One Stop Centre. Mahila Shakti Kendra Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. family strengthening programme. and other related social protection schemes.

    • Having past experiences and expertise of developing training modules for capacity building/orientation of CP functionaries including the allied forces at the mid and cutting-edge level and having training facilitation skills with a sound understanding of different methodologies used.

    • Previous working experience with government departments will have added advantage.

    • Research experience on relevant issues would have added advantage.

    • A good understanding of the online interface and use. of technology is desirable.

    Programme Support Coordinator

    • Postgraduate Degree in a relevant field such as Social Work/ Public Health/ Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration with computer skill (MS office).

    • Understanding on child protection-related national laws and international instruments, guidelines, and standards. legislations and flagship program res/schemes including Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. POCSO Act. the prohibition of the child marriage Act. Child Protection Services. One-Stop Centre, Mahila Shakti Kendra, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, family strengthening programme, and other related social protection schemes.

    • Desirable expertise in documentation and development of reports. Experience in data management, record keeping, and data handling.

    • Good experience of coordination, liaisoning, and office-related work with government/ delinquent homes/police.

    • Research experience on relevant issues would have added advantage.
