Essential Qualification and Experience

• LL.B, with minimum 05 years of experience as a Legal Associate with a law firm or senior advocate; or
• LL.M, from a National Law University with experience of working with a Senior Advocate.
• Registration with the Bar Council of India is mandatory.
• In-depth understanding of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, Motor Vehicle Taxation Act, Central Motor Vehicles Rules and State Transport Rules.
• Experience in handling legal matters, petitions and appeals in Government departments or Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
• Experience in compliance with Government service rules, disciplinary proceedings and departmental orders.
• Preferred Experience: (a) Experience in implementation of transport policies, electric vehicle policies, vehicle scrapping policies and related initiatives (b) Experience in legal scrutiny of contracts with public transport service providers, aggregator companies and private operators, (c) Experience in arbitration, conciliation, or alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms, and (d) Experience in conducting training programs/workshops on road safety, traffic regulations and legal compliance.
