Essential Qualification and Experience

• Must be a holder of degree in law of a recognized University.
• Must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of CMI and Criminal jurisdiction on the last date fixed for receipt of applications and must have so practiced for a period of not less than 7 (seven) years as on the date. (Explanation – Advocate includes government pleaders and public prosecutors)
• In respect of in-service Judicial Officer, the officer must have completed continuous 7 (seven) years or more in Bar before entering Judicial Service or continuous 7 (seven) years or more as a Judicial Officer or a combined experience of 7 (seven) years or more as Advocate and as a Judicial Officer on the last date fixed for submission of application.
• Must have sufficient working knowledge of State Official Language (Manipuri).
