Essential Qualification and Experience

• Candidate must be holder of degree in law of a recognized University.
• Candidate must be practising as an advocate in Courts of Civil and Criminal jurisdiction on the last date fixed for receipt of applications and must have practised for a period of not less than seven years as on such date. Candidate must have attained the age of thirty five years and must not have attained the age of forty eight years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes and forty five years in the case of others, as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications.
• For Judicial Officers: (a) In service Judicial Officers who have completed seven years practice in Bar before they are recruited in the judicial service are eligible. (b) A Judicial Officer having a combined experience of seven years as Judicial Officer and an Advocate is also eligible; Provided that, only such in service Judicial Officers who have attained the age of thirty five years and who have not attained the age of forty five years in the case UR (Unreserved) candidates and the age of Forty Eight years for Scheduled Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates, as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications, are eligible.
