    Symbiosis Law School, Pune in association with ILSA Chapter presents “Juristas” International Law Essay Competition, 2016.

    TOPICS:



    • Principles of International Law Applied in Daily Life
    • Relationship between International Law and Constitutional Law (Domestic Jurisdictions)
    • How Principles of Public and Private International Law Help Each Other
    • Prohibition of the Use of Force, Counter Terrorism and the ISIS Crisis
    • Space as the New Tourist Destination- Challenges and Solutions
    • Weapons of War: New Issues and Challenges under International Law
    • Global Governance- International Law Perspective


    ELIGIBILITY:



    • Participation is open to all the Undergraduate and Post-graduate Law Students enrolled in any institution in India and abroad. The participants must submit an attested copy of students Identity Card along with the essay.
    • Co-authorship is allowed but restricted to a maximum of two individuals per essay.


    SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:



    • The Essay should not be less than 4500 words and not more than 6500 inclusive of all footnotes.
    • The essay should be accompanied with a 250 word abstract which shall not be counted towards the word limit.
    • Submissions of entries shall be made in soft copies to: ilsaessay@symlaw.ac.in.
    • The deadline for the submission of entries is 30th June, 2016.
    • Essays will be judged anonymously.


    AWARDS:



    • First Prize- Rs. 15,000/-
    • Second Prize- Rs. 10,000/-
    • Third Prize- Rs. 5.000/-


    All students participating in the competition shall be issued participation certificates.
