Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad, recently organized a lecture by Bombay High Court judge Justice SV Gangapurwala on contract law.

Justice Gangapurwala talked about the origin of contracts in India. He then spoke about contract law and various facets of contracts in India. He mentioned the aims and objectives behind the Law of Contract, 1872.

He taught the students various interpretations to the Act. He spoke about the importance of the contract law in India and discussed some landmark case laws.

Justice Gangapurwala concluded his lecture by expressing his hope that law schools would take the lead and join hands with the formal legal setup to strengthen justice delivery in India.
