SC&A Legal has announced the expansion of its operations to New Delhi, adding to its presence across key legal and commercial centres in India.
According to the firm, the expansion is intended to strengthen its ability to serve clients across jurisdictions and facilitate closer engagement with courts, tribunals, regulatory authorities, and businesses operating in the national capital.
The Delhi office will be headed by Devanshu Lahiry, who has experience in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, and advisory matters. The firm stated that the Delhi office will focus on handling matters across sectors and jurisdictions.
Founded by Sanchari Chakroborty, SC&A Legal's practice areas include insolvency and bankruptcy, MSME financial restructuring, commercial litigation, arbitration, GST disputes, and foreign trade regulatory matters.
Commenting on the expansion, Sanchari Chakroborty, Founder and Managing Partner of SC&A Legal, said that Delhi's position as a centre for legal, regulatory, and commercial activity made it a natural location for the firm's expansion and would enable it to work more closely with clients and stakeholders.
Speaking on his appointment, Devanshu Lahiry said that the Delhi office would focus on dispute resolution, commercial litigation, arbitration, insolvency-related matters, and advisory services while supporting clients operating across industries.
According to the firm, the Delhi office is expected to assist clients in matters before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), arbitral forums, district courts, and various regulatory authorities.
The firm stated that the expansion forms part of its broader plans to strengthen its national presence while continuing its existing client-service model.
SC&A Legal also noted that it has been working with Shubham Malhotra, Founder of LawStrings Management, on branding, visibility, and business development initiatives. The collaboration is aimed at enhancing the firm's outreach and engagement with clients and other stakeholders in the legal sector.
The Delhi expansion, the firm said, is expected to support its efforts to expand its presence across legal and commercial centres in India.
