About Seminar:

The ICSSR-sponsored seminar on Motherhood and Child Well-being of Imprisoned Women in Delhi Jails critically examines the socio-legal challenges faced by incarcerated mothers and their children. It highlights the disruption of caregiving structures, emotional bonds, and child development, while addressing gaps in prison laws and welfare mechanisms. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, the seminar aims to generate evidence-based reforms rooted in dignity, care, and constitutional values.

Call for Papers – ICSSR Sponsored National Seminar

The ICSSR-sponsored National Seminar invites research papers, articles, and case studies from academicians, researchers, policymakers, industry professionals, and students. This seminar provides a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and scholarly engagement on pressing socio-legal and social science issues.

● Last Date for Abstract Submission – 23rd April 2025

● Notification of Acceptance – 25th April 2025

● Last Date for Full Paper Submission – 5th May 2025

● Date of Seminar – 8th May 2025

● This National Seminar is sponsored by ICSSR.

● NO REGISTRATION FEE will be charged from Participants.

Submission Guidelines:

● Abstract (300-500 words).

● Abstract should include objectives, methodology, data sources and keywords.

● Submissions must be original and unpublished.

● Abstract should be typed in MS Word using Times New Roman font, 12-point size and 1.5-line spacing.

● Abstracts are to be submitted with the registration form.

● Each paper should have a cover page containing the title of the paper, name of the author, Institution, name, email id and phone number.

Publication Opportunities:

● Full papers presented at the seminar will be considered for publication in reputed national and international journals, subject to their policies and standards.

Certificate & Participation Policy:

● Certificates of Presentation will be issued only upon successful presentation in the assigned technical session.

● In case of co-authorship, at least one author must register and present the paper.

● Physical presence of the presenter is mandatory.

● Failure to present will result in no certificate issuance.

● A Best Presenter Award will be conferred for outstanding presentations.

Plagiarism & Academic Ethics:

● Only registered and presented papers will be considered for publication.

● Authors must submit full-length papers in the prescribed format.

● All submissions must adhere to ICSSR academic integrity and ethical guidelines.

● Papers must be original; plagiarism exceeding 9% will lead to rejection.

● Use of AI-assisted content must comply with academic integrity standards; violations may lead to disqualification.

● Final publication decisions rest with the Editorial Board and publishing partner.

Accommodation:

● No TA/DA will be provided.

● Participants must arrange their own travel and accommodation.

● Limited accommodation may be facilitated for outstation participants upon prior request, with expenses borne by the participant.
